Norderney is the longest and most accessible of the islands of Eastern Friesland. It was the centre of the seaside frenzy in the th century and received many crowned heads. It is the best of all; it has (northern facade) beautiful white sandy beaches. The west is more urbanized, when the east-east is made up of magnificent dunes, paradise for cycling on the built lanes.
