WASSERTURM

The impressive Lüneburg water tower can be seen from afar and is distinguished by its circular tower in the middle of the church towers. In neo-Gothic style, it was built between 1905 and 1907 from the remains of medieval fortifications and had a 500,000-litre water reservoir. It offers a superb 360° view of the rooftops of the old town from its panoramic observation platform at 56 metres. You can discover the green and wooded region of Lüneburg and, in good weather, you can even see Hamburg!
