Located on the Beauregard estate, Ornavik is a historical park, a veritable experimental and educational archaeology site where enthusiasts build, forge, weave and cultivate using techniques and materials from the 10th and 11th centuries. Superbe plonger dans l'histoire au 10ème siècle. Une guide viking passionnée et qui le partage avec les grands comme les petits. Une très belle découverte, pour les amateurs d'histoires ou non.

Ik vond dit verrassend leuk en interessant. Uiteraard kwamen we voor WW2 bezienswaardigheden maar kwamen dit tegen en besloten op het einde van de vakantie hierheen te gaan. Dachten gewoon op ons eigen een rondje te mogen lopen maar moest dus met een gids, er was een Engels sprekende gids die leuk en interessant kon vertellen over de geschiedenis van Normandië de Noormannen en Vikingen. Erg leuk en totaal ander beeld van Normandië gekregen. En dit alles opgezet door vrijwilligers... diepe respect.

Belle découvert de ce village viking normand de 911 après JC. Nous avons eu un guide très bien jusqu'à nous faire des demonstrations de l'usage des outils. très belle histoire de la naissance de la Normandie.
