If the palate had a memory, it would be haunted by Paillard's butter croissant: a crispy cover and a very tender center, a good taste of butter, it's a marvel! But this mustn't overshadow the pastry department, with its wide variety of macaroons and other millefeuilles made by a chef trained in the best schools. The salads, soups, sandwiches, quiches and pizzas are all delicious! This great bakery also offers homemade chocolates and jams, not to mention bread and coffee.

Depuis l’ouverture de Paillard en 2006, nous sommes allés à plusieurs reprises chercher nos croissants du matin dans cette institution. Le service, la qualité des produits, tout y était. Ce matin, le bonheur n’était plus au rendez-vous. Un service rythmé comme un Mac Donald. Je demande une confiture de poire (à 2.30$) et on me sert une confiture de petits fruits. Je retourne pour me faire dire qu’il n’y en avait plus. On me propose d’autres choix. Le croissant déjeuner de mon conjoint avait un œuf tellement cuit qu’il avait une texture caoutchouteuse. Le café Nespresso a remplacé le vrai cappuccino. Quand le volume fait place aux bons produits bien servis, le client ne reviendra plus.

Nous y avons déjeuné lorsque nous étions de passage à Québec. Les sandwichs, soupes, etc. font très envie et ce que nous avons mangé était très bon. Malheureusement, je trouve que les portions sont petites par rapport au prix, ce qui est vraiment dommage.
