The small museum, which tells the story of chocolate and its production process, is designed in a very playful way. Before the eyes of the curious, the craftsmen shape the precious delicacies certified "pure chocolate", original and delicious, in solid or liquid form. Brownies are the best in Quebec, at least that's what customers say. The classic Érico chocolate cake enjoys the same prestige, not to mention hot chocolate, available in a dozen varieties, and homemade ice creams and sorbets in summer. A must have!

Owner's Message
Erico is both a creative chocolate factory and a small chocolate museum. You can learn all about chocolate and the origins of cocoa, from the time of the Mayas to today. The museum's collection is made up of 200 objects that testify to the evolution of chocolate: chocolate makers, molds, old tools, stamps, advertisements etc.
The visitor can also see the chocolate makers at work through a window that opens directly onto the kitchen. A video presentation on artisanal production and another on industrial production complete the information. Access to the museum is free for all!
A wide variety of chocolate products are available at the chocolate factory: filled chocolates, mouldings, bars, cookies, brownies, cakes and hot chocolates.
In summer, it's a burst of flavours with Érico's ice cream products: artisanal ice creams in classic and daring flavours, Choco-glacé, Bouleversante and more!
All these sweets are made on site with the greatest concern for quality and freshness.
The Choco-Musée Érico is located in the heart of the city, in the faubourg Saint-Jean-Baptiste, a five-minute walk from Old Quebec and a few steps from the Quebec City Convention Center.

Excellent service. On a pu y faire une formation sur le chocolat en famille, adaptée à nos besoins. Ils ont particulièrement été gentils de nous accommoder sur la date qu'on a dû changer à plusieurs reprises. Et la formation était excellente (le chocolat aussi) !

Merveilleuse chocolaterie ! Je ne l'avais jamais vraiment remarquée, mais je me suis arrêtée hier pour manger une glace au brownie. La texture et le goût étaient excellents. Aujourd'hui, je me suis arrêtée pour d'autres glaces et des gâteaux (ils ont des options sans gluten). C'est tellement bon que je reviendrai certainement demain pour une boîte de chocolats. Un rapport qualité-prix exceptionnel. C'est l'un de ces endroits qui ne se voient pas de la rue (contrairement à Tutto Gelato, tout proche) mais, une fois que vous aurez goûté le produit, vous reviendrez sans aucun doute. On sent que les produits ont été fabriqués avec passion et savoir-faire. Je vous souhaite une bonne continuation et j'espère que d'autres personnes découvriront cet endroit.

Bon service à la clientèle. J’ai payé 6,90$ taxes incluses pour une mini crème glacée deux boules trempée et un biscuit. Les crèmes glacées étaient bonnes, surtout la 70%. Le chocolat était un peu mou à mon goût mais bon. J’ai trouvé le biscuit décevant. Il ne goûtait pas vraiment le chocolat (malgré qu’il était aux trois chocolats) et il goûtait un peu bizarre. Il était par contre pas très cher. Dans le passé, j’ai goûté leur mousse aux trois chocolats, leur cupcake au caramel fleur de sel ainsi que leur gâteau chocolat. Ceux-ci ont été très bons. Je reviendrais certainement pour ces derniers et peut-être pour la crème glacée, mais je ne crois pas reprendre le biscuit.

The chocolate was a bit soft for my taste but still very nice. I however found the cookie quite disappointing. It did not really taste like chocolate (despite being the three chocolates flavour) and it tasted a bit funny. It was pretty cheap though. I have had their three chocolate mousse, caramel cupcake, and chocolate cake in the past. These were delicious. I will certainly come back for them and possibly for the ice cream but almost certainly not for the cookie.

On y trouve une grande variété de saveurs de crème glacée pendant tout l'été, chacune absolument délicieuses. Vous y trouverez des sorbets, crème glacées et yogourts glacés à savourer dans un cornet ou un bol avec enrobage de chocolat ou pas. Il y a également des d'enrobages à choisir selon l'envie du moment, que ce soit chocolat noir, aux épices, au lait et blanc. C'est un très bel endroit où vous serez amicalement servi.

Il y avait aussi un petit musée, avec beaucoup d'activités interactives, et une machine à chocolat qui ressemblait aux machines à gomme !
Tout le personnel était très amical et serviable, d'autant plus que nous ne parlons pas français.
C'est un endroit idéal pour prendre un petit en-cas et déguster du chocolat !
