Understand the environmental issues of our time in a former emblematic pavilion of Expo 67, overlooking the city.

Inaugurated in 1995 in the former U.S. Pavilion at Expo 67, one of Montreal's architectural emblems and a project by architect Buckminster Fuller, the Biosphère unites culture, social innovation and the environment. Its many exhibitions and scientific activities provide a better understanding of the major environmental issues related to air, water, biodiversity, climate change, sustainable development, etc. The Biosphère offers a beautifully laid out space and a superb view of downtown and the St. Lawrence River.

Musée de l'environnement sur l'Ile Sainte Helène, en plein milieu du parc Jean Drapeau. De belles expositions qui nous font prendre conscience des gaspillages que nous pouvons faire sans nous en rendre compte et qui nous donnent des pistes pour réduire notre empreinte écologique.

Le site est situé sur l'île sainte Hélène. Facilement accessible en métro, la biosphère est très originale de par sa forme sphérique. Intéressant à voir par rapport au côté environnemental.

La Biosphère est un excellent moyen de s'instruire sans s'ennuyer ! Les expositions sur l'environnement sont intéressantes et accessibles aussi bien aux enfants qu'aux adultes. Le cadre est, par ailleurs, magnifique et impressionnant. C'est un endroit où je reviendrai volontiers quand je serai de passage à Montréal...

Une super architecture. Encore plus jolie avec les couleurs de l'automne. On peut se balader à pied sur les iles après avoir vu cette oeuvre.
