The Cosmodôme is one of Laval's must-see attractions and a must-see for family outings. It's the only top-notch museum in Canada devoted entirely to astronautics and space exploration. It features animated scenarios representing three interactive virtual space missions (each lasting 60 minutes), as well as a permanent exhibition recounting the exploits and discoveries of space travelers, thanks to a collection of space conquest artifacts. Also on offer: temporary exhibitions, the 4D cinema with two short films offering a sensory and immersive experience, various astronaut training simulators and the new Mission Cosmo activity.

For youngsters aged 9 to 15, space camp is a truly memorable experience. Over three days, they'll experience authentic astronaut training. They will spend two nights in a space module on site, and will be asked to carry out various missions during their stay. Training simulator trials and scientific workshops are also on the program. Meals and snacks are included in the program. Definitely a camp they won't soon forget! Day and winter break camps, parent-child camps, school programs, children's parties and corporate programs are also offered at the Cosmodôme.

The park encompasses a variety of natural environments, including bodies of water, islands, swamps and riverbanks. The scenery is a veritable bayou landscape, with a calm, shallow, safe river, flowering marshes, swamp forests and lush island vegetation forming a veritable labyrinth of greenery. All-season activities, boat rentals, river-themed exhibits and a coffee bar at the Exploration Center.

NATURE CENTRE

Natural site to discover

A haven of greenery in the heart of the city, it offers a host of activities: cross-country skiing, tubing, cycling, water sports and more. In winter, the artificial lake is transformed into a skating rink, and youngsters can even try their hand at downhill skiing or snowboarding (equipment available on loan). Summer and winter alike, visitors can stretch their legs on 5 km of hiking trails. Other activities include a pony carousel and train rides for toddlers, a farm, an astronomy observatory, gardens and a tropical greenhouse, and much more.
