Very quiet inn with a breathtaking view of the river at Metis-sur-Mer, featuring a restaurant and cosy terrace.

Very quiet inn, with a breathtaking view of the river and its superb sunsets. Literary aficionados will appreciate the emphasis on books and access to a large library. The restaurant serves breakfast in the morning and refined cuisine in the evening, highlighting the terroir of the Bas-Saint-Laurent and Gaspésie regions (open to all). We'd also like to mention the ultra-cosy new terrace, where you can sip a drink at the end of the day and enjoy the good life. Note that most rooms are rented on a half-board, double-occupancy basis.

L'Auberge du grand fleuve est merveilleuse. L'emplacement, directement sur le fleuve avec accès à la plage, l'auberge elle-même, lumineuse et pleine de livres, le personnel, très accueillant, la chambre, grande et confortable, et bien sûr les délicieux soupers et les couchers de soleil. C'est un tantinet cher (on ne peut pas y retourner aussi souvent qu'on le voudrait), mais c'est si beau. Un endroit vraiment magique, posé au bord du fleuve, calme, dans un village charmant. Longue vie à ce merveilleux endroit.
