The largest park in the Canadian Rockies with 10,878 km2 and 1,500 km of trails. Despite its success, Jasper retains a wild and secret character that distinguishes it from its neighbor, Banff National Park. Cross-country skiing is a favourite winter sport in Jasper. The park can be divided into six different areas: the Icefield Parkway, the Maligne Valley Road, Miette Hot Springs (northeast of Jasper) where you can soak in body-temperature water, Whistlers Mountain, Mount Edith Cavell (3,363 m) and the Patricia and Pyramid Lakes area.
