STRASSBURGER VILLA
Imposing, superb listed residence, far from the seafront, symbolizing Deauville in the Belle Époque.
Listed as a Monument Historique and a symbol of Belle Époque Deauville, this imposing residence was commissioned by Baron Henri de Rothschild (1872-1947). Its picturesque appearance is accentuated by the profusion of architectural elements that enliven the elevations and roof projections, adorned with finials. A model of elegance! Exceptionally, the villa has retained its period furnishings (knick-knacks, family portraits, paintings of horses). Its most recent owner was the American newspaper publisher Ralph Beaver Strassburger, after whom it was named.
