This castle is one of the oldest medieval fortifications in Normandy.
This ancient fortified seigneury, surrounded by water, has a history spanning ten centuries. It includes a 15th-century timber-framed farmhouse, a dovecote, a chapel, a barn and a dwelling housing an exhibition on life in the Middle Ages. The barn houses the Schlumberger Foundation, dedicated to the saga of the Schlumberger brothers, inventors of a revolutionary mining prospecting technique. In August, don't miss the "Les Médiévales", a medieval festival.

Très beau château à découvrir, même en fauteuil roulant. L’accès PMR est globalement bien pensé, même si certaines zones ne sont pas accessibles, ce qui est compréhensible dans un lieu historique.
L’intérieur est très bien documenté et vraiment passionnant — nous avons appris beaucoup de choses sur l’histoire du lieu et la vie au Moyen Âge.
Je recommande de prévoir environ 1h30 pour profiter pleinement de la visite.
Nous sommes repartis ravis ! À faire si vous êtes dans la région.
