MONUMENTAL FARO

Declared in 2010 as a national monument, this 28-meter lighthouse is one of the city's emblems with its 100,000 visitors a year. Built between 1951 and 1953, it features the iconic features of a lighthouse as expected, but also looks like a Spanish colonial fortress with its three-level structure. For visitors, access is restricted to terraces.
