Monuments to visit La Serena

In the Compañia district, exit through the rue Cienfuegos, you can visit the Lambert Foundry. Charles Lambert introduced in Chile the French technique of indirect fusion that allowed for the treatment of metals of lower copper content. By continuing the path, one fell nose with a Gothic stone cross that Lambert had erected in memory of his unique son, an officer of the English navy disappeared at sea. The cross brings a epitaph to the English poet Longfellow.
