Things to see and do La Serena

In the Compañia district, exit through the rue Cienfuegos, you can visit the Lambert Foundry. La Serena is a city brimming with tourist activities. The recently formed Consejo Comunal de Turismo is working to promote tourism in the region. Members of the council, drawn from local universities, tourism associations and gremios, met to discuss their ideas and projects. Projects to improve the Avenue de la Mer, La Serena's main tourist attraction, were also discussed. Finally, the city also offers a variety of cultural events, such as concerts and shows, to entertain visitors.
