The lake is located 50 km south of Chaitén and is said to be one of the best fishing spots in the world. Trout and even salmon weighing up to 20 kilos are caught here! A true place of peace and meditation, the Yelcho lagoon is a refuge for forest walks, kayak trips and solitary hikes (one unforgettable outing will take you to the Yelcho glacier, through a tropical forest). In good weather, its wild beaches offer grandiose panoramas of the Andean mountains that are divinely reflected in the glacial waters of the lake.
