Launched in 2016, the Dôme is an eye-catcher with a contemporary aesthetic. The venue was conceived as a collaborative cultural space for innovation open to all in the scientific, technical, and industrial fields. In this shared space, which is also a place for project residencies, you can sign up for workshops, attend meetings or exhibitions, or simply enjoy the view from the terrace. You can also explore the world of tomorrow in the Dôme’s LivingLab and FabLab laboratories, or during the Turfu festival.

Je n'ai visité que le FabLab dans le dôme. A la première visite, je suis tombé amoureux du principe : un atelier en libre service, avec des machines de haute qualité auxquelles on n'a rarement accès quand on est un particulier. Pour les utiliser, une formation de 2h par machine, à un coût plus que raisonnable, et une fois la formation validée des créneaux d'une heure à réserver pour les utiliser. Découpe laser, imprimante 3D, brodeuse, tout un univers de création et d'artisanat à portée de quiconque qui est prêt à investir un (tout) petit peu d'argent et du temps. Le fablab fonctionne aussi sur l'entraide des gens qui l'utilisent, c'est une communauté de créateurs qui se rassemble en ce lieu.
