Since 1972, the Frérot bookshop, a real institution in Caen - just like the very remarkable mistress of the place, Pénina Frérot - has been selling second-hand books, but in all styles to please as many people as possible. With a collection of more than 50,000 books spread over two levels, there is a place to find rare, or even very rare, items, or a novel to put under the tooth... er, the eye. Because there is something for everyone, from paperbacks to original hardcover editions, not to mention many rarities that are highly prized by collectors.
