LE MARCEL PROUST
Restaurant with a terrace and panoramic view located in Cabourg.
When panoramic with gastronomic delights, Le Marcel Proust seems the perfect place to admire the races around a good table. But we don’t hide from you that it’s expensive. Very expensive, even if the caterer has an excellent reputation. Even though the meat is tender and melting, the vegetables, always in season, the very well-cooked fish - sometimes declined in different cooking, sauces or varieties - the foie gras, the star of the house, is, for him, from one meal to the other, of quite uneven quality. The cheeses, camembert, Pont-l’Évêque, and Livarot, always refined at good temperatures, are, on the other hand, a feast. Desserts are also dependent on affluence. Often fine and excellent, they can miss and be disappointing "alternates". On the service side, nothing to say: it is more than perfect. Waitresses and waiters should be able to satisfy the needs of demanding guests. Our verdict? Here, there are days with and days less well. Ask for a table with a view of the track if you like running for the show or invite your neophyte friends. Otherwise, at the bottom, "La Terrasse" is very good also with an equivalent quality, at more reasonable prices. The panorama is not the same, but we cannot have everything.
Personnel très sympathique et vue exceptionnelle pour profiter des courses : une belle soirée!
