Public garden featuring 400 trees and a botanical trail with 17 panels explaining the different species.

Not very large but charming, the Bayeux public garden, also known as the botanical garden, was designed by Eugène Bühler, landscape architect of the Parc de la Tête d'Or in Lyon. Dating from the Second Empire, this garden of 400 trees invites you to take a stroll and discover some remarkable trees: the famous weeping beech, the Virginia tulip tree, the Chilean pine, the cactus greenhouse or the pond with colorful carp. Don't hesitate to bring the whole family: a botanical tour and a junior questionnaire will help you learn more about the species that inhabit the garden.

Beau jardin agréable pour s'y promener même s'il n'est pas immense. Il manque quelques jeux supplémentaires pour les enfants mais cela reste un endroit apaisant et très bien entretenu.

Botanical garden with free entry. The garden is not very large surfaces some but very large by varieties of the exceptional, unique trees. It is necessary to linger on each to discover its originality, its history sometimes, its height, its perimeter. To visit every season to make new discoveries ..... nature is fascinating.
