Housed in the prestigious former episcopal palace of Bayeux, the MAHB is a benchmark museum in Normandy. The museum’s remarkable scenography features 14 different atmospheres. Visitors discover at their own pace the wealth of collections, presented chronologically from prehistory to the 20th century. Highlights include Bayeux lace in the superb Salon des Évêques, the Renaissance chapel, and porcelain under a contemporary glass roof.

Closed December 24 afternoon and December 25. Closed from December 31st afternoon to January 31st. Open February 1 to April 30 and October 1 to December 30, 10am to 12:30pm and 2pm to 6pm. december 31st, morning only. May 1 to September 30, 9:30 am to 6 pm. Last admission 45 minutes before museum closes. Free admission for children under 10. Adults: €7.50 (concessions: €5.50). Children: €5 (students and schoolchildren). Groups (20 people): €5.50. Combined tickets with Tapisserie de Bayeux or Mémorial de la Bataille de Normandie: €14 full price (€10 reduced); triplet ticket: MAHB + Tapisserie + Musée Mémorial: €16 full price (€13.50 reduced).
