Art Deco villa offering rooms with balconies overlooking the cathedral.

Monique Voidie is now dedicated to her hosts at Castel, a villa Art-Deco that is unique in all Bayeux. With its numerous gables and side turrets, Le Castel offers a truly fascinating spectacle, between a haunted manor and a capricious star villa. The entrance door, decorated with beautiful stained glass windows, opens onto a magnificent lobby where a marble round table is covered. The tone is set… The interior staircase, a bronze and granite marvel, leads to the rooms. Passionate about the garden, Monique has been very happy and has succeeded in creating elegant and refined atmospheres for her chambers. One plays the Art-Deco card in full with antique mosaics in the bathroom, another is more contemporary, another still breathes the 1940s… And for a room with a view, choose the rooms with balconies, they overlook the cathedral.

We were in a “superior room with cathedral view.” Very clean, spacious, quiet and yet so close to the town center. Severing couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful with helping resolve an issue for us. Check their website as also have other room options big and small. We would not hesitate recommending to stay there.

Bel accueil dans un lieu chaleureux, chic et reposant.
Le Castel est idéalement placé : proche de la cathédrale et des charmantes rues riches en bons restaurants...
Merci Séverine !

Spent three nights in this exceedingly comfortable and friendly Normandy mansion. The host speaks very good English and a fabulous breakfast. The beds were very comfortable a little more on the firm side. They provided you with multiple allergy, free pillows, soft or hard as well as additional blankets so if you think a down comforter is too hot, you can have a thinner but comfortable choice. I prefer to sleep with the fan and they offered several portable fans, which were fabulous. The showers were enclosed with great water pressure. We had a mini fridge in our room. The heated towel rack was always on. We had a large dual sink with plenty of space for toiletries. Our private deck had a magnificent view of the cathedral on which we enjoyed drinking our subpar French beer. The location made walking to fabulous restaurants very convenient. There is free parking diagonally across the street and if that lot is full, there is a gigantic lot almost behind this hotel with more than enough parking for just a small fee. The setting as well as the breakfast in the morning would make this a return stay if I’m ever back in this area. The rooms are more than spacious and we were traveling with our young son, they provided a very comfortable roll away single bed for 25 euros a night.

Great comfy big beds, lovely room/house would recommend. The locals are a bit rude but apart from that it’s great

Posizione eccellente. Note positive:
1) dalla finestra del bagno della camera 6 si vede la cattedrale (foto)
2) personale simpatico e gentile
Colazione scarsa.
