On road 17 connecting Muscat to Sur is the small village of Dibab. Just before crossing the wadi, it is possible to leave the highway to take a tarred coastal road that goes to Fins: a schoolchildren's path that offers access to pretty little beaches bathed in turquoise water. South of Fins, the road becomes a track and continues to meander up creeks and sand to the outskirts of Tiwi. Dibab has a large beach, but it is especially for its natural chasm that the place is interesting. Although very (too) touristy, Bimmah Sinkhole is a curiosity that may be worth a short stop.
