Renaissance fortress church with an impressive wooden ceiling carved in the Arab style in Caminha.
In the pedestrian streets of Caminha, do not miss the Igreja Matriz. It was built in the heart of a medieval enclosure from 1448 to 1556. Massive by its gothic granite structure, and finely carved with Renaissance ornaments, the church also presents Manueline elements. You will notice its magnificent carved facade and rose window, as well as its magnificent azulejos. The Renaissance fortress church also has an impressive carved wooden ceiling in Arabic style. It is a quick visit, but well worth it.

Super belle église, imposante, en granite. La façade peut être contemplé depuis les restes des remparts, ce qui la rend encore plus imposante. La rosace en granite est particulièrement belle, ainsi que la tour crénelée qui lui donne un aspect de forteresse. Les horaires d'ouverture ne sont pas renseignés, demandez à l'office de tourisme.
