Read moreThis cableway has been in operation since March 11, 1995. The cabins pass over the forest to link the town center with Mount Penha, 617 m above sea level. The journey takes 10 minutes, during which time you can admire one of the region's most beautiful landscapes and religious monuments. Mount Penha is home to the Nossa Senhora do Carmo sanctuary. There's also a leisure park, caves, mountain bike and hiking trails, a mini-golf course, a campsite and a petiscos restaurant.
