Ideally located in the heart of the city, Calçada Guesthouse offers six beautiful modern rooms hidden inside an old renovated house. The must is the roof terrace which offers pretty views of the city's churches and a place to relax and enjoy the sun's rays. Daniel and Tamsin, the hosts, do not speak French but will do everything to make your stay pleasant (in English or Portuguese) and help you discover the region. Tea and coffee are available during the day. Minimum stay of 2 nights.

Really this is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed, everything was perfectly done and immaculate. Quiet rooms, good curtains to allow for sleeping in, lovely linen. The bed and en-suite are spacious and perfectly decorated. This matches the overall vibe and gorgeous decor PLUS the most fantastic roof terrace. Tamsin, Andy and Dillon were also incredibly welcoming and helpful. My only regret is not being able to stay longer is this fab area and incredible house. 10/10
