The Portimão Museum, on the banks of the River Arade, offers an enriching visit for all and a fun immersion experience.
This museum opened its doors in the former fish canning factory "La Rose", located on the banks of the Arade River. The three-part exhibition presents the history of the local communities from prehistoric times to the present day. From the first Roman and Arab occupations to the industrial memory around the canning factory, including the discovery of the old cistern. In the basement, a reconstituted submarine in which you can walk as if you were there! Children and adults will love this playful immersion. A very enriching visit!

Superbe musée sur la conserverie de Portimao, très bien expliquée avec le film et surtout les mannequins. La pointeuse , la crèche , la fabrication de la boîte en métal : tout est très bien exposé. Prix du musée du conseil de l'europe en 2010.
