On this square, in the heart of the city, there is a beautiful architectural complex that does not go unnoticed. The former Renaissance palace of King Sebastian dominates the scene. On the other side of Praça Infante Henrique, the small customs post is one of the few remains that shows that in the past the most important slave market in Europe was located here, as early as 1444. A museum is dedicated to the memory of the Mercado de Escravos. Jewellery, coins and skeletons discovered during work on a car park are presented in a very simple way

Place de l.infant henrique qui fonda l école navale de sagres, d où proviennent les grands navigateurs portugais vasco de gama, Magellan...à côté se situe l église de santa maria à visiter et le musée de santo antonio

Très belle place un peu à l'écart du centre ville, très agréable avec ses jets d'eau qui rafraichissent.

Cette place bien aménagée et à l'écart des commerces touristiques, est le témoignage de l'histoire de Lagos. Avec son grand bassin, elle est agréable pour s'y reposer un moment, même si les arbres ne sont pas encore suffisamment grands pour donner de l'ombre.
