The town is perched on the high hills, some 2,400 m above sea level, and indicates that it can get chilly. Residents sometimes walk around in hats and fleeces. Rumour has it that altitude played a role in the mental state of some European residents in colonial times, who were said to be affected by "byumbite"... To preserve their neurons, one can nowadays head for the library run by a Frenchwoman, which is enjoying some success. For the night life, you will pass by: not a single bar or nightclub.
