Ferries to Tróia, the gateway to the Alentejo and Algarve, leave day and night, every 35 or 50 minutes from the Setúbal port, located near avenida Todi. In summer, there are huge traffic jams every Friday and Sunday evening on the way back. If you don't have a car, we advise you to take the catamaran, which is faster and more frequent, arriving directly at the marina (close to the beaches). For the south, it's sometimes better to go round via Alcácer do Sal - it's longer, but often a little quicker!
