Means of transport Cascais

These are the buses that connect Cascais to other nearby cities such as Sintra. From the bus station, located above the railway station (be very careful when crossing the Marginal), Scott Urb connects Cascais to Estoril (via the Cascais Shopping shopping centre), Guincho (buses: Nos. 405 and 415) and Sintra (via Cabo da Roca, bus: No. 403), by at least a dozen buses per day. There are also hourly connections to Lisbon airport (via Estoril station and the Colombo Trade Centre).

Cascais is the terminus of the coastal train line that leaves from Cais do Sodré (Lisbon). As it runs along the coast, the trip is quite pleasant. Remember to stand on your left side in the direction of travel to enjoy the view during the trip. The journey from Lisbon takes about 45 minutes. The train is often full in summer. Do not try not to pay, as there are very often controllers and the fine is very high. When leaving the station, you arrive directly in the centre of Cascais. You have to walk a little to get to the beaches.
