From Koog on the west coast of Texel, an authentic, historical and very touristic village almost on the North Sea
De Koog is a village on the west coast of Texel and is the seaside resort of the island. The town has about 1,500 inhabitants, many more in the summer season. It is a historical and very touristy village that is almost on the North Sea. Indeed, only two rows of dunes separate it from the square. Once a fishing village, it is now an authentic village that will please you. The church, which dates from 1415, is worth a visit. The nightlife is very active. It is not the most authentic village but it is easy to visit.
