Prince's garden in Groningen with a beautiful sundial with the Latin inscription, with letters carved in the hedges
At the entrance to the garden, you will admire the beautiful sundial with the Latin inscription "The past is nothing, the future is uncertain and the present is unstable". The Prince's garden was laid out in 1624 as a rose and herb garden. A walk will lead you to the beautiful cradles. You will then reach the back of the Prinsenhof and admire a beautiful gate with a bull's eye. You will see two letters carved into the hedges, a W (for the stadhouder, Willem Frederik) and an A (for his wife, Albertine Agnes).
