WAAGSTRAAT COMPLEX

This architectural complex is the result of the violent rejection of the previous complex, the work of J. Vegter, which was destroyed after less than 30 years of existence. Four architects considered the plans and although the professional jury chose one plan, the public voted for the project of the Italian architect Natalini. He created the classical-looking complex behind the city hall, consisting of three connected buildings, of which the public weight is part. The glass roof is a success. Almost 30 years later, the complex is still popular.
