GOUDKANTOOR

It dates from 1635, a building with a richly decorated facade, the name goudkantoor was given to it only in the 19th century, when it was used as a place to punch metals(goud means "gold", kantoor, "office"). It is one of the most famous buildings in the city. In Renaissance style, it has shell motifs above the doors and windows. In the twentieth century it housed several museums before hosting the tourist office, and it is now a café. Note that this building is present in Madurodam, the miniature museum of the country.
