House designed by architect Gerrit Rietveld in Utrecht, a national monument and Unesco World Heritage Site.
This house was designed in 1924 by the architect Gerrit Rietveld (1888-1964) at the request of Truus Schröder. It represents an example of the De Stijl architectural movement. Today it is a national monument and a Unesco World Heritage Site, and is administered by the Centraal Museum. Since 2002, the second Rietveld house, a model of a house dating from 1931 with furniture by Rietveld, is located opposite this house. Erasmuslaan, 9, is a unique visit that will appeal to everyone, not only to architecture and design lovers.
