Museum dedicated to the history of Volendam and its folk traditions, run by passionate volunteers

Museum dedicated to Volendam's history and folk traditions. On display are paintings, sculptures and pottery from 1800 to the present day. A fine collection for a direct immersion in a past rich in tradition. The museum recently celebrated its 40th anniversary. The museum is a must-see in the town, and is well worth a quick visit on a tour of the town after enjoying some fresh fish on the harbor. The museum is staffed by enthusiastic volunteers who will tell you all about the town's history and traditions.
