Marken express is the boat network linking Marken and Volendam. It's interesting and typical. It can be combined with all the attractions in the area. You can take a ticket that includes everything, for a total discovery of the region. In Volendam, the visit to the traditional waffle factory Woltjes Backerij is particularly interesting, and lunch on the harbor particularly enjoyable. How about typical studio photos? The reception point is just opposite the pier.

Owner's Message

Our ambition is to put this region on the map as one of the most attractive regions in Holland for international visitors. As we are located in the heart of the "See Old Holland" region, we know the (real) Holland because we live there!

You will start this beautiful tour in a harbour restaurant with a cup of coffee or hot tea and a delicious piece of apple pie. After this scrumptious meal, you will receive an envelope containing a map of Volendam and a route description that will take you past all the nice places in Volendam. Not only will you drive along a beautiful route through the old town of Volendam (among other things), also known as the 'labyrinth', but you will also discover places you probably wouldn't have found otherwise, for example the cosy bakery Woltje's, a real stroopfwafel bakery.

You can walk the route independently or as an extra option you can 'tick' a guide in real Volendam costume with which you will walk the route through this world-famous village and who will tell you all the fun facts and interesting facts about Volendam.
