Traditional brewery located close to the center of Volendam with interesting tours

This traditional brewery, formerly Brouwerij het Veulen, moved in at the beginning of 2020, a stone's throw from the centre of Volendam. In this 1,000^m2 building, beer is brewed in the traditional way, with top fermentation in the bottle. Interesting tours are organised on weekends: for about an hour, you will learn about the history of the brewery and the brewing processes according to the beers. And of course, two tastings are planned. Note that the brewery has a small shop in the centre, at Zeestraat 1.

THE BREWERY

In the picturesque village of Volendam, which has been isolated for centuries, old traditions have been preserved for a long time. The traditional Volendam costume is still worn by some women and eels are still fished in the IJsselmeer. The Volendammers are known as hard workers and always strive for perfection. In their spare time they like to enjoy a good glass of beer. In2000 Bierbrouwerij Volendam, formerly Brouwerij het Veulen, was founded in Volendam. Bierbrouwerij Volendam brews its beer in the traditional way with a traditional top fermentation in the bottle and 100% naturally pure.

THE SHOP

It is located in Zeestraat 1 in Volendam. Perhaps the smallest beer shop in the Netherlands! In this shop you will find specialty beers made by hand.Beautifully packaged as a nice souvenir of your visit to Volendam.
