The second largest church in the country, built between 1370 and 1520, with a magnificent lantern tower in Haarlem

The silhouette of St. Bavo's Cathedral, the country's second-largest church, is an original one. Completed in 1930, it blends a multitude of architectural styles, with a predominance of Romanesque-Byzantine and Neo-Gothic. Built between 1370 and 1520, the church features a magnificent lantern tower. Note the beautiful marble altar and superb bronze pulpit. Admire the mosaics and marquetry. The choir is enclosed by a copper grille fashioned in the early 16th century. The stalls date from 1512. The church houses the tomb of Frans Hals.

cathedrale Saint Bavon
Merci à l'office de tourisme de nous avoir indiquer un concert d'orgue dans l'enceinte de la cathédrale. Son architecture est assez original et trés riche.
