Museum that makes a point of convergence of several districts of Amsterdam, theater of soccer matches and swimming pool in summer.

Museumplein is, as its name suggests, the square where Amsterdam's various major museums are located. It's home to the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum. The square is in fact a giant expanse of grass, the meeting point of several Amsterdam neighborhoods. In summer, it's the scene of soccer matches, and there's even a swimming pool for toddlers. In winter, it's a skating rink that delights young and old alike. It's a pleasant, if often crowded, gathering place. Perfect for a coffee or an Italian gelato.

Un lieu animé où il fait bon se promener, manger une glace ou récupérer de ses efforts après avoir arpenté les salles des différents musées tout proches. Il y a toujours quelque chose à voir ou à entendre, des attractions, manèges, concerts. C'est également un lieu rafraîchissant quand il fait très chaud en période estivale.
