A very pleasant city park, the Vondelpark is located between Leidseplein, where you can go out, and the major museums. Not to be missed!

The Vondelpark (48 hectares) is a pleasant park with small ponds to visit by bike. We like the rose garden (rozentuin) which has 70 types of roses. The park attracts tourists and residents, young and old alike. There is a statue (of Picasso), an open-air theatre, a café restaurant pavilion and television and radio studios. It is a multiple and transgenerational place. The park was designed by Dutch landscape architect L. D. Zocher and named after Joost van den Vondel, the famous Dutch poet.

Après l'agitation du centre ville, une promenade dans ce parc est un plaisir relaxant même si le soleil n'est pas de la partie.
