Interesting museum to visit in Amsterdam where the city's history collections are housed during its renovation

Since last year, this museum has been officially called Maison, and that's just fine. Built between 1685 and 1687, it was inhabited by a number of wealthy families, the last of whom, the Willet-Holthuysen family, defined the Louis XV style that reigned here. On her death,Mrs. Holthuysen bequeathed the building to the city of Amsterdam to be turned into a museum in the name of the couple. It is worth noting that the collections of the city's history museum are housed here during its renovation. Behind the house, the large garden has been laid out in the French style.
