A former central post office converted into a large luxury shopping mall, a Dutch Renaissance building
An imposing building that once housed the central post office. Known as Magna Plaza, it is now a vast luxury shopping center. Built at the end of the 19thcentury , this Dutch Renaissance and neo-Gothic building, pretentious in its exuberance and attention to detail, earned its architect Cornelis Peters much criticism. The stairwell is well worth a look. Since the pandemic, the place hasn't found its breath and most of the stores have had to close. Fortunately, Sissy Boy is still there.

la poste
ancien bâtiment de la poste c'est aujourd'hui un "centre" commerciale un peu vide de boutiques, mais le bâtiment à l'extérieur et à l'intérieur est très beau à voir.
Interesting building from an architectural point of view. Very imposing, some details draw attention. At the end of the year, a huge fir following the example of the Parisian Lafayette galleries is in the middle and touch the ceiling: very nice!
