4 Reformed churches in 4 corners of the city: Zuiderkrk, Westerkerk, Noorderkerk and Oosterkerk in Amsterdam

It was in 1578 that Catholic Amsterdam became a reformed city. All the catholic churches were transformed into protestant churches and in the 17th century the calvinists built 4 reformed churches in the 4 corners of the city: the Zuiderkerk, the Westerkerk, the Noorderkerk and the Oosterkerk. Three of Rembrandt's four children are buried here. It is located at the end of the most beautiful canal in the city and its sumptuous exterior was immortalized by Claude Monet.
