The Uitmarkt: to celebrate the beginning of the new cultural season, Amsterdam hosts, during the last weekend of August, a host of artistic events (concerts, performances, ballets...), which take place along the canals and even, sometimes, on the water. These events provide an opportunity to discover the main features of the upcoming cultural season and to preview tickets for upcoming shows.
