A beautiful neighborhood brown café, and what a neighborhood it is! Located on the corner of two of the city's most beautiful canals, it has been welcoming regulars every day since its creation in... 1642. Suffice to say, it's a historic place. Its typical decor has remained unchanged since then, and it's even said that the old cast-iron stove in the middle of the room comes back into use every winter. It's the ideal place to sip a beer on the terrace in summer, but it's even better in winter, when you feel like you're in a still life that could be painted by Vermeer.
