A unique hotel in its day 100% electric and housed in a former district town hall. Green, inventive and photogenic frame.
Here's a hotel we really like, whose first asset is its location in the heart of the Westerpark, in a former district town hall. Conscious boasts 89 eco-friendly rooms overlooking either the park or the former technical buildings of the gas factory that gives its name to the culinary-cultural complex, the Westergasfabriek. The design is unadorned, and the ecological approach is appreciated. The café-restaurant, Kantoor, is a sure bet.

I purchased a hot chocolate from the reception, which should’ve came to €3.30 but I checked my phone and noticed I was charged €8.70 for it. I went back to the man and told him he over charged me. He told me I bought a hot chocolate and 2 bottles of water . I told him I only got hot chocolate and he insisted there was 2 bottles of water at the counter. He eventually agreed to give me a refund . He told me to tap for my refund so I did . It’s been 4 days now and still no sign of money refunded . Just looking through the reviews it looks like this isn’t the first time the hotel has tried to scam people.
Apart from that the restaurant had terrible service . It was very empty the day we went and we still had to wait ages to be served . When my food arrived only the tofu was warm. The rest of the food was stone cold .
