4-star hotel with café and restaurant on the Oosterpark in Amsterdam.

This former Catholic orphanage built in 1890 has been transformed into a 4-star hotel with 139 uniquely decorated rooms (divided into 3 categories), where Amsterdam meets the rest of the world, according to the website. A new wing opens onto the recently renovated Oosterpark. The establishment also includes a café (open daily from 7 a.m. to very late) and a restaurant (open daily from 12 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. for lunch and dinner) and a superb chapel. A place out of the hypercentre, but very accessible.

Cet endroit est magnifique. Tout est beau et confortable. Le tramway et le métro sont à proximité. Il est facile de se déplacer partout.

Great rooms and situated right in front of a beautiful park that's packed full of life.

The restaurant attached has a great vibe and serves good food.

The only problem was the surprise room deposit, which was very expensive. If buying through a package deal company they dint tell you about this so bring some extra change.

Sehr schönes Hotel, mit direkten Parkzugang. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Zu Fuß ist das Zentrum in circa 20-25 Minuten (2 Kilometer) zu erreichen, auch mit guter Verkehrsanbindung des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

The hotel was really good with very friendly staff. It's one of the prettiest hotels I've visited ever with the refurbishments that went on. The two-floored room I was in was clean and comfortable though I have to say that if you're on the obese side, you may struggle to get up the stairs to the bed as it's a rather tight squeeze. The list of drinks and food are extensive and not cynically priced like at a lot of big city hotels but this shows awareness of competition from local bars & restaurants. I'd be happy to visit this hotel again when we next visit Amsterdam.
