BARANGAY Guest-House

Our two-room guesthouse with tropical decoration is located in a typical Amsterdam canal house built in the 18th century. We welcomed our first guests on August 8, 1999. We give every guest a warm welcome. A unique home away from home with a touch of originality, your own original tropical room.  Over the years, Amsterdam Barangay has received many awards and honours. We are honoured by the hundreds of excellent reviews from our guests.

LOCATION

The B&B is located in the canal zone of the city centre, in the Unesco World Heritage Site. This is certainly one of the best places to explore Amsterdam and beyond. Literally, most of the tourist attractions are just around the corner, within walking distance! Our street, with its funky shops and trendy restaurants, boutiques and small businesses, links two major canals. (Keizersgracht and Herengracht). The famous Jordaan district is a 3 minute walk away and the Anne Frank house is 5 minutes away.

THE "TROPICAL" ROOMS

The spacious double or twin rooms are decorated in an eccentric, tropical, Asian style. Both air-conditioned rooms have a large private bathroom with rain shower and bathtub. Unique among B&Bs, we have a Japanese toilet with bidet for complete hygiene. The rooms are located on the second floor. Like the monumental houses in Amsterdam, we have steep and narrow stairs, the property  is not suitable for people with physical disabilities.
