Built on a large rock, its impressive castle overlooks this town of over 24,300 inhabitants. The old part of the town is made up of narrow streets around the castle and houses the Palace of the Counts of Cirat - also known as the Great House - which has a beautiful Mannerist-style porch. The civil architecture is represented by houses from the 17th century, such as those of the Enríquez de Navarra or the Marquis of Montortal, the old grain storehouse, now the House of Culture, and the Town Hall. In terms of sacred architecture, the convent of San Francisco is worth mentioning. Information. Tourist Office: Calle de la Estrella, 2 (www.turismoalmansa.es).
